Short post today because I’ve been busy in the yard, taking advantage of the great spring weather and putting in some new plants. I do want to share a small “law of attraction” event that happened yesterday. I love it when the law of attraction manifests itself.
The Hard Work
As I mentioned, I’ve been taking advantage of the spring weather. I did some landscaping last week, putting in a bunch of new plants. To prep the area, I removed some grass and dirt, and then I dug holes for all the plants. This process yielded three good sized piles of dirt. I had a good spot for that dirt, but it was across the yard. I carried a few shovel fulls across the yard, but it was obvious this would be a very slow process.
The Quest
I recalled my neighbor having a wheel barrow, so I gave him a call to see if I could borrow it. He said, “You could if I still had it.” And then went on to explain that it had rusted through and he threw it out. Then I called my dad, and he didn’t have one. My wife asked her dad and he didn’t have one either. We asked another neighbor and he had already loaned his out and had not gotten it back yet.
I thought about buying a new wheel barrow, but I just don’t need to use one very often and I didn’t want it taking up space in the yard. I thought about buying a used one through Craigslist, and found a good deal on one, but it was damaged and I’d have to drive across town to get it. Plus, it would still take up space in the yard.
The Law of Attraction in Effect
I had pretty much resigned myself to a few days of carrying shovel loads of dirt across the yard. In the back of my head I kept thinking about having a wheelbarrow to make the task easier.
I came home from work last night and looked out the back door, and there sat a shiny red wheel barrow. It was just sitting there in my neighbor’s yard saying “you needed me and here I am!” My neighbor was having some sod put in, and the landscapers had left their wheelbarrow overnight. I asked this neighbor if I could borrow it, and he said it was fine with him.
After spending time thinking about what I needed, the answer to my problem just appeared. I call that a law of attraction moment.

Announcing the Best Book Ever
My friend Josh Hanagarne over at World’s Strongest Librarian just published his first book, The Knot. I’m very happy for him. Josh is a superbly entertaining blogger and writer. I read the first chapter, which he posted online about a month ago, and it sucked me right in. It’s very unusual for a book to suck me in so quickly in the very first chapter, so I’ve been anxiously awaiting the book’s release.
Here is the synopsis.
Stoker Blatt is 103 years old, so when the frog begins talking to him, he assumes he has finally gone senile. Unfortunately for Stoker, the frog really is talking…it’s the rest of his world that might be falling apart. As America’s favorite talk show host begins preparations for her final show, Stoker and a colorful group of characters begin trekking across the country towards the most apocalyptic finale in television history. It’s just another day in Patchwork.

Click here to see Josh’s video introducing the book.
And definitely click here to purchase The Knot.

I love the fact that you managed to magic a wheelbarrow just when you needed it.
I think a lot of people think that it always has to big things that you have to magic when sometimes the smaller ones mean just as much if not more.
It shows that whatever you ask for the Universe is listening and will deliver
Many Thanks for a great post

Hi Mauritius, Welcome and thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment. It was really cool. I was almost sure I’d be stuck walking back and forth across the yard with shovel fulls of dirt. I think manifesting smaller things is probably more common than manifesting big things, although I bet many people don’t notice the smaller things.

You are absolutely right Eric. Sometimes I think we take for granted the small things we manifest without actually thinking – hey I manifested this. When its something bigger thats when we always seem to notice it.
I hope your yard is coming along nicely now that you had the use of the wheelbarrow

That’s pretty amazing Eric! I’m sure your body was thanking your eyes for seeing that wheelbarrow.
I love it when we are in alignment with God!

Patrenia, my body was definitely thankful. Shoveling into the wheelbarrow was hard enough, walking back and forth with shovel fulls of dirt would have been even harder. The alignment is a wonderful thing indeed.

Beautiful story. I definitely subscribe to LOA or whatever you want to label it. The Universe answers when asked. It’s always fun when it happens.
