What’s up with the eBook Reviews?
You may have noticed in the last couple of weeks I’ve been experimenting with some eBook reviews. I recently discovered this wonderful little subculture of eBooks in the blogging community. Many bloggers are writing eBooks, either as a method for promoting their blogs, or as a way to make a little money.

So we have my favorite bloggers putting out great material on their blogs, and then they take extra time and compile some even better stuff into an eBook. Well, I’m hooked. There is so much great stuff to read, and alot of it took some searching around and visiting a bunch of blogs to find.
eBooks Galore… What to do?
Then I had a small epiphany. Why not write up some reviews of these eBooks and post them on Eden Journal so I can share all my finds with my super duper readers? So, that’s what I’ve started to do. I have a whole slew of eBooks in the queue. All the eBooks I’ve read thus far are so darn good that I foresee a lot of good reviews coming up. That’s ok though, if it’s a good eBook then it’s a good eBook. I think the cool thing about reviewing them is that you’ll get some exposure to some great stuff, and you can pick and choose based on the summary of the material in addition to the review and star rating. If you haven’t seen them yet, check out the eBook Reviews I have completed so far.
If you are new to eBooks, you can check out my eBook FAQ and Info page. Basically, an eBook is a book you read on your computer or on a mobile reader like a Kindle or Nook.
A Work in Progress
I’m experimenting with different formats, and I installed a plugin that allows me to give them a star rating and also allows some cool charts to be posted on the category pages. I had a small hiccup with the rating plugin related to the comments. You may see some spam in the comments or your comment may go into a pending approval area. I’m not sure if it’s quite fixed yet, so bear with me while I get the bugs worked out.
Reviews are good, but I want more!
Oh, did I mention, many of these eBooks are free! That’s right, free. Some require signing up for a newsletter, but most bloggers limit their newsletter emails to a couple per month or less, so it’s usually not a big deal to sign up. (I’ll try to mention how often the newsletters go out as part of the review.) Plus it makes us bloggers happy to see folks sign up. I hope you check out a bunch of these free eBooks.
Cool, tell me about the ones that aren’t free
The eBooks that aren’t free are usually bigger, better, and packed with more awesomeness than their free counterparts. Many come with extras as well; things like video, audio, workbooks, and interviews. For these non-free eBooks I’m adding a “Value” rating so you can gauge the worth of the book compared to the cost.
Two requests of my readers
First, I need your help to make these reviews even better! My review plugin has the ability to include reader reviews. If you read or have read any of the eBooks that I review, please add your own review in the comment section and add your star rating. (Currently the star ratings are under the submit button.)
Second, for the paid eBooks, if you find one you find interesting, please purchase it from the link in my review. These will usually be affiliate links, and I’ll make a little commission to keep things running around here.
Thanks for your support and I hope you enjoy the eBook reviews!
PS. I’ll still be posting my regular posts in addition to these reviews. Currently I’m planning one eBook review per week, and one or two regular posts per week.
