If you are reading this blog, it’s because you are meant to read something I have written or will write. There is no coincidence, everything happens for a reason. You have come at the exact moment you were meant to. You will gain something, be it big or small, from an article or post on this blog.
People find my blog through a variety of means. Some follow a link from another blog, either from a link in a post, through an article I guest posted, or through a comment I have left. Some stumble across Eden Journal from a Google search. Maybe you found what you were looking for, or maybe you will find something you didn’t know you were looking for. I come across some of the best content that way; looking for a specific topic, and instead finding the exact thing I didn’t know I was looking for.
Perhaps it is fate, or destiny, or maybe it’s just chance. Whatever the reason, and however you found me, I believe you are here for a reason, and I welcome you with open arms. Join me, read the content I produce, find meaning where you can, and contribute to the discussion in the comments or by email. You are here now, and I consider you my friend. Welcome.
Hello and Welcome to Eden Journal. My name is Eric Watermolen and this is my little corner of the Internet where I like to share ideas of Personal Development and Self Improvement. I like to explore the various paths we take as we progress in life. I love to focus on Personal Enlightenment through Thinking and Questioning.
You see, I’d rather see you think for yourself than blindly follow personal development advice. I believe in keeping an open mind and asking a lot of questions. Then I search for the answers to those questions and process them within my own set of beliefs and experiences.
Sometimes I’ll share the answers I’ve found. Other times, I’ll simply ask the questions and let you quest some answers in an effort to learn and grow. I like to think of my readers as smarter than average and definitely more inquisitive. That’s what I shoot for in myself, and I like to see my readers shoot for that as well.
I like to blog about a variety of topics. Most of these center on Personal Development, but we may also delve into other areas from time to time; things like philosophy, manifesting abundance, religion, and sometimes a little about me and my life.
After I started blogging, I found that a lot of my favorite bloggers were writing eBooks to share even more detailed information on their favorite areas of Personal Development, Making Money Online, or Location Independent Living.
Their blogs are a good place to share a lot of information, but the blogging format has some limitations. The main one being that blog posts are generally rather short with the longest usually around 3000 words. When a blogger wants to go into more detail they either create a series of posts or they create an eBook.
The eBook is really the ideal format for sharing more information. It’s quick to write being that it doesn’t have to go through a formal publishing and printing process, and it’s very quick to purchase and/or download. With just a couple of click, you can have an eBook downloaded and ready to read, without even leaving your seat.
As I was exploring various eBooks, I came across a small problem. I had to go all over the place to try to find good content. I had to search out bloggers and visit many sites to find ones that had eBooks available. With that problem came the solution.
In May 2010 I added a section to Eden Journal to focus on eBooks. Here I summarize and review all the eBooks written by my favorite bloggers. My goal is to become a central repository for Personal Development, Making Money Online, and Location Independent Living eBooks. Head on over to the eBook Reviews section to browse some of my recent reviews.

Hi Eric, I’m so impressed with what you’ve done here on your blog.
You have a brilliant outlook on life and some fabulous tips to share. It’s exciting to see so many guest posts by other personal development writers which adds even more value to Eden Journal.
What a journey blogging has been for both of us. We’ve come a long way and I’m looking forward to seeing where we end up. Somewhere very special I’m sure although I reckon we’re already in a very good place:)
