Welcome to the Personal Development Campfire. This is monthly series where blogs share a common Personal Development topic once a month. We all link to each other to share ideas and to share readers.

We may get a little crazy with some of the topics, like the one we did on Sunshine and Rainbows, but that’s all part of the fun. I think we can make any topic into a personal development post, and wacky topics make it more challenging and more fun.

What is the Personal Development Campfire?

Imagine all your favorite personal development bloggers gathered around a campfire. Campfires are great center pieces of relaxed and free flowing conversations. Think of all the wonderful conversations and the wealth of topics that might arise. That’s the idea behind the Personal Development Campfire. Your favorite bloggers all gathered together discussing a new topic every month.

Who can participate? Open to any blogger that wants to join in the fun.

How to participate in 4 easy steps.

1. Look up the topic of the month (at the bottom of this page) and write a post on that topic
2. Include the Description and Linky Tools code at the end of your post (at the bottom of this page.)
3. Schedule your post to go live on the designated day, currently the 15^th of each month.
4. After your post goes live (or from the preview) add a link to your post using Linky Tools.

What is the schedule? I want to keep the posts in the middle of the month, so we’re going to start by posting on the 15^th of each month. That means the day of the week will fluctuate, but I think it should be easier to keep track of the post schedule if we use a date instead of a day.

What is Linky Tools, and how does it work? Linky Tools is a tool that makes it possible for us to easily share links between our blogs. It makes it super easy to navigate between all the campfire posts. I will provide a script each month, and you can add that script to your campfire blog post. The Linky Tools script is specific to each campfire topic, so make sure you grab the script for the current topic.

Need a monthly reminder?

If you’re like me, you might need a reminder before the posts are due. If you’d like a reminder, just send me a note through my contact form, and I’ll send you an email reminder a week before the campfire.
